minimalism done properly (ie by Philip Glass) is wonderful

"minimal house" or whatever you want to call it (which in reality isn't even really minimal in the true sense) done by some drugged out kids in their basement with some computer software simply following the trend because it's cool

painful...

not saying you cant write great music with computer software or even great minimal electronica - but most of the stuff that actively classifies itself as 'minimal' is -meh- with little musical value, and is easily forgotten

SOME of it has its moments...some

I like all types of House music. If the groove is there, I don't mind what noises make up the sounds. House is House no matter what instruments play the sounds, if the rhythm and vibe is there, I'll like it.

Minimal is a departure which has me lost... but, that's just the evolution of music for you - we'll all go our separate ways over a long enough time period.

Definetely one for the Philosophy section! icon_lol.gif

I like minimal progressive.

If it's just an experiment in noise, or the reconstruction/deconstruction of the elements and/or percussion, it's usually just boring to me.
