Airport Route Recordings

myspace.com/airportrouterecordings
Airport Route based in Reykjavik, beginning in 2007 marks the return to dance music of founder member Simon Latham (Something 4 Your Weekend) and we hope to attract and work with dance music lovers across the globe.
Simon and co-label collegue Pete Lunn (aka Soundsation, Lunn and Latham) had great UK success throughout the nineties, their music, often on their own previous label (SOS Recordings) was supported by names like Sasha, Digweed, Seaman, Tong, Judge Jules and many others.
Their Renaissance Part 4 contribution "Do you feel it?" mixed by Dave Seaman in 1996 was often seen as a landmark tune in the early sound of progressive house.
Airport Route focuses on progressive house but also includes elements of electro, some breaks and some minimal.
Simons "Left right of centre" album is causing stirs on its recent release and Pete Lunns "Seasider" album continues to do well even hitting 35 in the Itunes dance chart.

Airport Routes offering here Tin Pot DJs seem to be getting some nice returns for such a new act.
Minted seem to attempt to bring you back to the golden age of progressive, phasing synths, strong simple beat and a lead piano, mimicking the likes of the pianos great that graced our dancefloors for many years.
If simplicity is in fact the key here then maybe i can draw you attention to Shai Du Laks offering which seems to be the main attraction to this 3 pack mix, although the hook is its own re.... 3.5/5 [Simon Latham]
