Canadian and Norwegian duo ChrisJar and dj Roar Harjo write, produce and dj snowflake sounds. Arktikism is an outlet for some their music, ranging from chilly ambient winds to storming progressive and techy house and breaks.
Roar comes from Norway and spends most of the cold nights creating sonic northern lights. He grew up playing the piano, and took up djing some years ago playing at various clubs throughout Norway. When he gets fed up with snow and ice from time to time, he heads down to Thailand for a residency at the infamous Backyard Club on Ko Phangan, and the soon-to-be illegal Fullmoon parties.
ChrisJar hails from the snowy woods of Canada, and grew up playing drums and percussion in various bands. He left for Europe, spending years absorbing new ideas and sounds. ChrisJar has performed at events at club VEGA in Copenhagen - Denmark, Club BLAEST in Norway and more. His feel for the beats flowed to the sounds of Moose (Oven Ready), beatchuggers, Dexta, BrotherBrown (Yoshitoshi) and Tim Andresen (Oven Ready).
Currently the guys are throwing files at each other across the Atlantic and producing new tracks. Their music is pop'ing up in various clubs, dj charts and radio world wide.

Tom Solo (Invisible DJs) (USA) (InvisibleDJs.com ProgressiveHouse.com, DJMix.net)
"Nice sounds being used throughout, very well put together. Could have used a stronger hook or motif. The track felt very drawn out and meandering, would have liked to hear a more concise version." - 4.0 / 5
