Bomb Shop (London, United Kingdom)
bombshop.org
Bomb Shop is a forward thinking independent label based in London. We've been bringing new music to your ears for the last ten years, in a rather random and disorganised fashion, so we reckoned it was about time we got organised, thought of a name, got ourselves a side-parting and officially start our label.

We hope you find something you like amongst our repertoire- dancefloor types will want to head straight for Los Vampiros Lesbos' wacked out grooves and the deep slo-mo house of Elias Linn; latin lovers check Leaf Gonzales; and the discerning electronica fan will certainly want to have a butchers at Sous Section 5 and Jingai.

BMS004 Los Vampiros Lesbos - Wpn / Waveless, Unbroken (May 5th, 2008)
Los Vampiros Lesbos have been releasing quality wacked out house since their first release on Beat(en) Communication in 1998, the slightly insane "Big Robot EP". Bolstered by support and reviews from a wide slice of the music world, LVL continue to bring heat to slightly confused dancefloors worldwide.

This two tracker shows a slightly less crazy (though still as original) side to the band- "WPN" is a tough but emotive tech house anthe

BMS003 Jingai - Equator (Mar 31st, 2008)
"Equator" blends euphoric rhythms with deep textures to massive effect. Not for the faint of heart, the drum levels have been driven to breaking point- the cracking and distorting of the digital signal becomes an integral part of the rhythm track and burns through the other elements like acid.

On remix duties here are YTAC and Dr Weevil, the former providing a lumbering ghetto-glitch workout fresh from the streets of the 18eme, the lat

BMS002 Sous Section 5 - Sous Section 5 (Feb 4th, 2008)
These three early- and highly tonal- pieces from the SS5 vault combine simple sound sources (piano, sine waves, a child's speaking toy) and relatively simple processing with emotive and, at times, ruthless editing techniques.

"Six Flights" blends more than 50 recordings of the same simple piano piece, each one degraded slightly in quality, to form a spacially deep texture where cracked and fizzing harmonies jostle for position.

BMS001 Elias Linn - Slope / Rough Field Recording 1 / Thinner Than Recall (Jan 7th, 2008)
Composed between 2003 and 2007, this small collection of Linn's work encapsulates a formative moment. "Slope", written in 2003 in Paris, displays Linn's style before the tempo started to drop- an almost textbook dancefloor moment in form and function. Yet the seeds of development ar there- the blend of atmospheric, occasionally nightmarish field recorded sound with angelic tonal textures, and deep crisp percussive sounds programmed with acute det
