DIGIPRANA Records is a brand new electronic music label from New York City launched in September 2007 by DJ/Producer and radio personality, JD Turbine of Sirius Satellite and 90.3FM in New York. Featuring seven releases scheduled for 2007 and plenty more to follow in 2008, DIGIPRANA is poised to continue connecting DJs, producers and listeners from around the world to the bleeding-edge sounds of the electronic underground.

With “The PT Project” by Lee Pennington, and “The Alloy EP” by Autophase, DIGIPRANA sets off in England, presenting the glitchy & techy, cutting-edge styles of two of the North Eastern underground’s most respected talents: Pennington, who co-produces the montly “Riffraff” party in Middlesbrough, and Autophase, producers of the weekly “Polystyrene” party in Manchester.

DIGIPRANA carries into the Fall with “The Sounds of Greece EP” by DJ Nas, who delivers four progressive and percussive-ridden, original productions direct from Athens. Zigmund Slezak of York, UK, reinterprets two of Nas’ tracks into characteristically eccentric and frenzied electro madness. Zig, whose original productions will also be released on DIGIPRANA in 2008, is also a writer for IDJ Magazine.

Before closing 2007 with original tracks and remixes by Paul Bowen, Gow, Tom Collingburn & JD Turbine, DIGIPRANA stops off in JD’s native country of Puerto Rico for a 4-track EP release: “The Sounds of Puerto Rico”. The EP will feature two productions by DJ Kermit: the top charting “NuShift” (#7, Richmond Pool, June 2007) as well as the captivatingly eerie “Dead Roads.” Josh Montalvo and Flavio, each contribute original cuts to the EP as well, rounding out the full deck of tech-electro beats and grooves for late-night dancing on the beach.

Featuring a loaded catalog of releases on sale at digiprana.com, with distribution by INgrooves (Beatport, DJ Download, and more) support from Saeed Younan (“The PT Project”), and Peace Division (“Rocoloco” by Paul Bowen) on Radio One, DIGIPRANA records is already becoming a must in the CD books and digital crates of DJs worldwide.
