Kickroach Recordings (Québec, Canada)
kickroach.com
We are a brand new electronic mainly digital label, based in Canada in the beautiful region of Québec, our goal: promote the best artists outside there, people who share the same vision of life and music.

We propose an electronic sound, sometimes tech, sometimes prog, but why name it? let’s enjoy music!
We cover different musical styles because we all have different musical backgrounds and tastes, we love everything that sounds different and we are not focused just on one music style.
Our most representative artists are:

Saul B (yoshitoshi, existence, progressive grooves)
Sam Perez (yoshitoshi, baroque, restart, ocean trax)

Djak Unit, our rebel genious, gives life to two pieces of art: a twisted art.
The name of the first track Space Camp says it all: noisy-spacy sounds appear
and disappear while the neurotic base just keeps going, some percussive
vintage elements help the structure to be Hypnotic, yes with the capital “H”.
Formika is the B-side well thought to move people on the dancefloor with his
sub-bass, childish random melodies complete very well.
Kubrick, if in this world, would probably ask Djak Unit for some music.
Kickroach: educating while entertaining.

"Great dark beats and pulsating basslines! a must have for any dark prog lover!" - 4.5 / 5

Reviewed:

This is the second release from Kickroach Recordings, a dark melodic set of tracks from Djak Unit meant to be hypnotic with layering potential by a clever DJ. The first track on this EP is Space Camp, with a unique and dark melodic synth line and fairly minimal beats. This track is kind of boring on it's own, but begs to be layered and for that it's got big potential. The second track Formika has a huge driving pusating bassline, and a steadily building drum structure. A .... 4.5/5 [mike]
