NSM003 Kris B vs Holosound - Kids On Acid (Feb 12th, 2008)
Release Date: Feb 12th, 2008
» User Rating: 3.7/5
» Promo Pool: 4.5/5
The original mix is powerful, busy, tech house. Dark quirky sounds and pitched 909 toms make the bulk of the melody, over a dirty, acid bassline. The vocal sample comes from a 1960's science reel on LSD experimentation. Jeff Devas turns in a tribal, driving, progressive remix. Huge drums, cool techy chords, and big melodic dynamics in the break. Nosmo v Kris B bring a peak time, acid tinged electro house remix. Kabuto & Koji did a deep, techy, minimal remix, with driving pulsating beats, and gorgeous, haunting chords in the breakdown. And Jason Killgore has a techy progressive approach, with more sweeping melodies, and a lot of cool vocal re-edits. Support from Lee Brridge, M.A.N.D.Y., James Talk, Kosmas Epsilon, Matt Rowan, Joel Armstrong.
