Proton Music was founded in April of 2005 by Proton Radio director and Particles host Jason Wohlstadter (aka Jay Epoch). The inspiration for the label came from it's first release, "Fingerpaint" by Digital Witchcraft, which at the time was having trouble finding a home.
The label aims to capture the variety of genres played on Proton Radio while keeping true to Jay Epoch's musical taste: atmospheric and melodic electronica. It was only a matter of time before His Boy Elroy and The Emissary appeared together on a Proton Music release. These two upcoming artists have wowed the Proton crew with their amazing progressive breaks submissions in past remix contests. Now The Emissary teams up with breakbeat heavy weight Starfire to give us a truly epic Hybridized remix of The Emissary's already huge "Step Into the Light".
But thats not all folks. Micah is here too. Label manager and radio host of Proton's Ruhn Song gives us one of his best remixes to date, a grooving techy progressive builder that you'll certainly find gracing Proton's airwaves for month's to come.
Original artist His Boy Elroy twists his track into a Dark "4/4" mix alongisde the progressive breaks original featured earlier this year on Jay Epoch's "Drago" compilation for Particles. Enjoy!
