Proton Music was founded in April of 2005 by Proton Radio director and Particles host Jason Wohlstadter (aka Jay Epoch). The inspiration for the label came from it's first release, "Fingerpaint" by Digital Witchcraft, which at the time was having trouble finding a home.

The label aims to capture the variety of genres played on Proton Radio while keeping true to Jay Epoch's musical taste: atmospheric and melodic electronica.   Uroš Umek is internationally acclaimed music producer from Slovenia, seducing the masses with his own music blend for more than a decade. Always on the look out for new sounds and determined to challenge every existing cliché in music industry, he has managed to define his own vision of vanguard techno.

As host of the 1605 radio show each month on Proton Radio, Umek now presents a 3 track techno EP for Proton Music. Featuring high energy melodic techno sounds wrapped in the top notch sound design he's become famous for, this EP showcases one of the scene's top jocks at the top of his game.
