Proton Music was founded in April of 2005 by Proton Radio director and Particles host Jason Wohlstadter (aka Jay Epoch). The inspiration for the label came from it's first release, "Fingerpaint" by Digital Witchcraft, which at the time was having trouble finding a home.

The label aims to capture the variety of genres played on Proton Radio while keeping true to Jay Epoch's musical taste: atmospheric and melodic electronica. Visit ProtonRadio.com for the official Proton Music website with detailed information on all our releases and extended previews of all our tracks.

Proton Music releases biweekly on Beatport, iTunes, and other digital retailers.

Matt Rowan & Jaytech are two of Australia's leading progressive acts with multiple best sellers under their respective belts, household names in the scene known for their well produced melodic & energetic progressive house. When Jaytech's Red Seven label had to go on hiatus due to 3Beat's untimely demise, the duo still had some music pending for release and Proton felt it would be a shame for it never to see the light of day. Here then is a remix EP based on some of Matt's originals previously released on Red Seven, featuring remixes from Jaytech himself alongside relative newcomers Soliquid, Roman Rai, and Jalebee Cartel.

Jaytech's album "Everything is OK" is out now on Ajuna Deep while Matt Rowan's full length is forthcoming soon on Baroque. And be sure to check out Sasha & Digweed supported Soliquid's "Kabal" EP on Proton Music or any of the music from Roman Rai on his own Solstice imprint. More music from Jalebee Cartel can be found on the Balkan Connection.
