Proton Music was founded in April of 2005 by Proton Radio director and Particles host Jason Wohlstadter (aka Jay Epoch). The inspiration for the label came from it's first release, "Fingerpaint" by Digital Witchcraft, which at the time was having trouble finding a home.
The label aims to capture the variety of genres played on Proton Radio while keeping true to Jay Epoch's musical taste: atmospheric and melodic electronica. Visit ProtonRadio.com for the official Proton Music website with detailed information on all our releases and extended previews of all our tracks.
Proton Music releases biweekly on Beatport, iTunes, and other digital retailers.

The Khvaleyev brothers have been writing music for a while, but it wasn't until 2007 that Pavel and Vitaliy saw their success take flight. Their music has been selected this year on both Jimmy Van M's Balance 10.1 compilation as well as Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise 6, releases on Traum, Regular, their own Disoma and Moonbeam labels, and finally Kickin' -- home of Trentemoller's "An Evening with the Bobi Brothers".
The first Moonbeam originals for Proton Music come on a dual EP release. Insight, Sky, Predator, and Samurai highlight the key aspects of this Russian duo's diverse sound: Working with a variety of vocalists, catchy melodies, and a strong handle on energy.
If you want more Moonbeam, be sure to check out their show of the same name on Proton as well as their plentiful back catalogue on Beatport. The follow up EP, Predator, will be released in February of 2008.
1. Insight (Dub Mix)
2. Sky (Vocal Mix)
3. Samurai (Original Mix)

Proton Music newest offering by Moonbeam who you might remember from their previous release "snowfall", one i remember fondly gotta say. This next one seems a little unexpected judging from what i had heard before anyway.
Kicking off with "Insight" a fabulous little plodder nice little bass to it but an unexpected final key, oh what the hell :) it works! if changes and breakdowns is you thing, or screaming hands in the air, then yes this release is wrong for but its a nice warmer safe and wel.... 4/5 [ Simon Latham]
