Proton Music was founded in April of 2005 by Proton Radio director and Particles host Jason Wohlstadter (aka Jay Epoch). The inspiration for the label came from it's first release, "Fingerpaint" by Digital Witchcraft, which at the time was having trouble finding a home.
The label aims to capture the variety of genres played on Proton Radio while keeping true to Jay Epoch's musical taste: atmospheric and melodic electronica. Jay Epoch's Kaori compilation closes out with its final remix package release featuring Outside the Box label manager & show host Eelke Kleijn, Pacific Front label manager & show host AFK (aka Davin Greenwell), and Darker Shades show host Naveen G.
This release is all about showcasing the amazing production talents of our resident DJs on the station. Each remix artist involved has devoted countless hours to their projects with Proton and our scene-- we're very proud and fortunate to feature them here.
The tracks being revisted are "Signals" by Benz & MD, which has had a few other interpretations on prior "Kaori" remix packs, and "A Priori" by The Last Atlant. The songs originally come from a compilation released earlier last year and have been remixed a few times. Dig around on Beatport to find those that came before, you won't be disappointed!

A sweetly melodic offering is put to us by PROTON MUSIC.
Opening with Eelke Kleijn Remix and A priori originally by Last Atlant. This tune crosses genre border and injects new sound on dancefloors, sitting on a bass with some real bounce you are introduced to a a facinating combination electric clavs, sweeping pads and expressional beats in following a progressive feel it steps to tech like sounding, proving how progressive house art continues to grow.
