Proton Music was founded in April of 2005 by Proton Radio director and Particles host Jason Wohlstadter (aka Jay Epoch). The inspiration for the label came from it's first release, "Fingerpaint" by Digital Witchcraft, which at the time was having trouble finding a home.
The label aims to capture the variety of genres played on Proton Radio while keeping true to Jay Epoch's musical taste: atmospheric and melodic electronica. Visit ProtonRadio.com for the official Proton Music website with detailed information on all our releases and extended previews of all our tracks.
Proton Music releases biweekly on Beatport, iTunes, and other digital retailers.

Benoit Franquet entered the halls of progressive house history with the release of numerous singles on John Digweed's Bedrock Records as early as 2002, culminating in highly acclaimed debut artist album "Zero Gold" in 2005. With appearances on Global Underground compilations by Nick Warren and John Digweed, Pole Folder is one of the Progressive House scene's mainstay talents.
His second release on Proton Music follows his "Protected" single in 2006 and arrives shortly before the launch of his very own music label, 80Hz-Digital, with Proton in 2008. Featuring the gorgeous vocals of Shelley Harland, the new "Radio 101" single is a two track EP chock full of the stuff that has made Pole Folder what he is today-- and then some. Remixes will follow shortly from Francesco Pico, CBass, Stuart McKeown, and Human Adams.
Benoit's 80Hz Sessions project is a monthly radio show on Proton Radio. The label, 80Hz-Digital, launches later this month. A release on Restart Records started the year off for Pole Folder and a compilation for Frisky Records marks his first commercial CD foray as well as the debut release for Frisky's imprint.

This is an excellent single, the instrumentation drew my attention. The vocals are soft and melodic. Her voice hypnotized me; this single is a musical journey that they took me on. These two were able to create an amazingly expansive, dare I say even epic, sound. The variety of sounds they brought together in any number of layers was quite striking. This is definitely a single that stands out.
This single has a side of genuine creativity, the music is truly inventive. This is a single that I .... 5/5 [FANG]
