Segment records was born when John Falcon and Matt Black met while they were both DJing on internet radio station londonliveanddirect.com and decided to set up a record label. John had already done much of the ground work, come up with the name and received some demos but hadn’t quite got the idea off the ground. Matt had already had experience of putting records out on his own Housefeelings imprint and was looking to get involved in a record label which he believed had a chance to grow and showcase up and coming artists as well as more established acts. It was then that Matt and John decided to team up and Segment records was born.The first fruit of they're labour was Segment 001 Eelke Kleijn "4.5 Billion Years" which was released in September 2003. Despite John parting company with Segment records in its early stages, Segment records has strong foundations set in place and our mission is to continue releasing quality material from both up and coming and established artists. Music is continually changing and evolving and Segments aim will be to stay at the forefront of the movement. Forward thinking house music at its very best.

For our next release Segment records is pleased to present to you Smokin circles, a talented duo who make music for both the mind and the soul!
As producers their achievements speak for themselves, as they have signed their work to Segment Records, Balkan Connection and a forthcoming release on Tenax Records. Their tracks have been supported by renowned djs/producers Hernan Cattaneo, Alex Neri, Ogi Gee Cash, Franceso Farfa, Chris Michali, Dpen, Mauricio Duarte, Marcello Vasami, Masque and many more
Sandera is a sonic artist classically trained composer influenced by the mysticism of Ethnic, Classic with an electronic music background, as well as the unlimited potential of sound design. Clyton was exposed to electronic sounds in 1998 during studying his mastering course at university. Since then being a DJ over the next few years encouraged him to follow up various courses on music production and sound design.
Smokin circles Segment debut “Ptah” is a driving slice of techy progressive with a nod to the old school but sounding firmly in the new school! Remixes have been provided by Mauricio Durate and Klever who deliver a pumping peak time interpretation while Hernan Cattaneo fave Masque delivers a deep and driving remix which has already found favour with Cattaneo himself and Spesh from Jondi and Spesh.
