Swordtail
(Forest Lake, Australia)
swordtailrecords.com
Swordtail Records is a new label out of down under Australia. The label aims to bring you some of the freshest progressive sounds from Australian producers and also from others around the globe. With Australia not having many progressive based labels at the moment, we here at Swordtail thought it was time to try and sort that problem out.
Initial releases and remixes will see acts such as Native, Trafik, 4Mal, Retrobyte and Daniel Gregory unleashing some deep, twisted and atmospheric sounds. The label will begin with some upfront digital releases available from a variety of digital stores and in the future will also be bringing out some top line compilations and singles in CD format.
All releases will come with a variety of mixes to cover off different styles going from Electro through to Trance. Many of the releases will bring new and exciting vocal talents to the forefront. If you have any tracks that you think we might be interested in, then simply visit the contact page and drop us a link to your tune. In the mean time, we hope you enjoy what Swordtail Records has to offer the wonderful world of music.

SRCD01 Various Artists - Audio Park (Apr 18th, 2008)
Release Date: Apr 18th, 2008
» User Rating: 4.0/5
» Top Rank: Reached #40 on Apr 18th, 2008
The first CD to come from Swordtail Records is Audio Park. This CD is 10 exclusive unmixed tracks, built for varying situations. Whether you are out at a club working a DJ set or simply sitting at home relaxing to some smooth beats, this is the CD for you. The CD starts off with the minimal sounds of Unbreakable brought to you by Yvel & Tristan. From here it moves into a groove based beat laiden remix from Mannel & Kornel. Next up are the lush sounds of Native followed by Just Another Memory by SATeN, which has a great deeper house feel. Sancho & E-Lation pick up the pace a little and fire up the funk with Zuna. 4Mal then lay a massive slab of dancefloor madness in the form of Path is Clear. Paul Kieran then delivers a driving techy piece which is followed up by the strong tribal rhythms of Zuzanten from Jacco@Work. The CD closes out with a real epic night ending piece coming in the form of Simon Firths Reactivate.
