Toes in the Sand (Cleveland, Ohio, United States)
toesrecordings.com
As our name implies, the music of Toes in the Sand Recordings is evocative of perfect moments that make you say, "Aaah." You know how good it feels when you're on the beach, running your feet through the sand taking in a warm sea breeze. Toes in the Sand has captured through sound those feelings of joy and contemplation.

Specializing in progressive house and progressive breaks, our releases place an emphasis on musicality, arrangement, and composition. We are based in Cleveland, Ohio; however, our artists span the globe from San Francisco to Buenos Aires to Istanbul.

Our releases have appeared on compilations by Sandra Collins, Anthony Pappa, SOS, Andrew K & DJ Leoni, Kosmas Epsilon, Sprout Music, and more.
TOES043 Thee-O & Huggie - Night Owl (Jul 16th, 2009)

1. Night Owl (Original)
2. Night Owl (The Last Atlant Remix)
3. Night Owl (Python Remix)
There are few dance producers as prolific as California's Thee-O, who can seemingly whip up a brilliant track in the time it takes you to eat dinner. Knowing no stylistic boundaries, this former member of the defunct Balance Record Pool has released an astounding number of original tunes and remixes across nearly every genre. On "Night Owl," Thee-O teams up with newcomer Huggie to produce perhaps the grooviest Toes release to date.

TOES042 Abdomen Burst - So Many Hopes (featuring remixes by Retroid, Ben Coda, Oleg Zubkov) (May 21st, 2009)

1. So Many Hopes (Original)
2. So Many Hopes (Retroid Remix)
3. So Many Hopes (Ben Coda Remix)
4. So Many Hopes (Oleg Zubkov Remix)
Progressive breaks returns to Toes with this sparkling number from Moscow's vividly named Abdomen Burst. Also getting in on the breakbeat action is rising star Oleg Zubkov, who darkens things up a bit on his remix. If you prefer a house rhythm, don't miss the entries from the legendary Retroid and Overcast's Ben Coda, both of whom have been killing it on the remix tip all year.

TOES041 Michael & Levan feat. Stiven Rivic - Free Fall (featuring remixes by Elfsong & Aeron Aether, Dynamic Illusion, Ben Coda) (Apr 16th, 2009)

1. Free Fall (Original)
2. Free Fall (Elfsong & Aeron Aether Remix)
3. Free Fall (Dynamic Illusion Remix)
4. Free Fall (Ben Coda Remix)
Michael & Levan are a duo who need no introduction to fans of progressive house. Their releases keep alive the deep, organic vibes that characterized the early (some would say true) progressive sound. Teamed with the excellent Stiven Rivic, the Georgian pair has unleashed another soon-to-be classic upon fans of the deepness. The remixes are equally great, spanning the wide variety of styles that comprise the modern progressive spectrum, from Ben

TOES040 Storyteller - Soundproof EP (Feb 12th, 2009)

1. Sound
2. Proof
After breaking through with his "Polar White" release on our label back in 2006, Storyteller returns to Toes with this pair of club-bumpers. From the housey, smoothed-out grooves of "Sound" to the blistering, hypnotic synths of "Proof," Storyteller reminds us why he is one of the most respected artists in progressive house.

TOES039 Ned Hobbs feat. Amy Arora - Skin (featuring remix by Ben Coda) (Jan 15th, 2009)

1. Skin (Original)
2. Skin (Ben Coda Overcast Remix)
Ned Hobbs gave the progressive-house world a small taste of his talents in 2008 and shows no signs of stopping. He kicks off the new year with the sultry, sexy "Skin," featuring dulcet expressions of love by vocalist Amy Arora. On the remix is Overcast's Ben Coda -- also poised for a big year -- who comes through with a melodic, clubbier take on the original.

TOES038 RedLoft - Second Sunrise (featuring remixes by Royal Sapien, Santiago Deep) (Nov 20th, 2008)

1. Second Sunrise (Original)
2. Second Sunrise (Royal Sapien Remix)
3. Second Sunrise (Santiago Deep Remix)
Somehow, Toes has managed to overlook Mexico all these years, but no more -- we are proud to welcome our next-door neighbor RedLoft, who dazzles us with the moving, emotive progressive breaks of "Second Sunrise." For the four-on-the-floor specialists, we've rounded out the release with club-bumpers from two of our favorites, Royal Sapien and Santiago Deep, who have each been crushing it throughout 2008.

TOES037 Groove Dvision - La Playa (featuring remixes by Dynamic Illusion, Ned Hobbs) (Oct 23rd, 2008)

1. La Playa (Original)
2. La Playa (Dynamic Illusion Remix)
3. La Playa (Ned Hobbs Remix)
From the heart of Spain comes the gorgeous debut release of newcomer Groove D'vision, who cooks up a musical paella of bumping beats, groovy basslines, swelling pads, and hypnotic synths, topped off with a luscious piano solo to stir your soul. This delicious meal is paired with side dishes from two of the top chefs in progressive today, Dynamic Illusion and Ned Hobbs, who take it to another level with their 4-star remixes.

TOES036 Arthur Deep - Phoenix (Aug 21st, 2008)

After laying dormant since last December, Toes awakens from its long slumber. And what more appropriate release to be reborn with than "Phoenix" by one of our favorite producers, Arthur Deep. "Phoenix" takes us back to where we started, to the deep progressive breaks of our early releases. Arthur's melodic breakbeat masterpiece is paired with a hypnotic four-on-the-floor gem by rising talent Ned Hobbs, whose stellar releases on Feralcode Records

TOES030 Aris & Allis - Volume 11 (Aug 9th, 2007)

Moonbeam - Snowfall: The Remixes (Jun 18th, 2007)

One of our all-time fan favorites (TOES010) gets the remix treatment from two Toes veterans, Riko and Pete Lunn. And just like we warned you last time, don't let the name fool you -- the Snowfall remixes are pure beach music, perfect for kicking off the summer with their peak-time housey vibes. Relive this amazing track that helped make Moonbeam one of the top artists in the scene today!

Matthew Adams - No More, Anymore! (May 21st, 2007)

Matthew Adams follows up his stunning Autumn Leaves EP (TOES19) with another beautiful work of classic progressive. In his most personal track to date, written just weeks after a personal heartbreak, Matthew masterfully captures feelings of both melancholy and optimism. Elusive (of Espen & Elusive) remixes Matthew's original into an absolutely lovely piece of music, perfect for early sets, afterhours, or a crowd who just plain loves good tunes.

The Scrubz - Ready Cat Remixed (Apr 26th, 2007)

Remixes are always a good opportunity for a label to go beyond its usual stylistic parameters, and this pair of
mixes is no exception. We've enlisted Pete Lunn (whose "Tea and Sympathy" shot to #4 on February's
Balance Record Pool chart) to infuse "Ready Cat" with his big-room groovy house sound. Meanwhile,
Royal Sapien, who has been tearing it up lately with a slew of innovative, mind-bending productions and
remixes, brings h

Matthew Adams - Autumn Leaves EP (Nov 2nd, 2006)

At just 22 years old, this prodigious German producer has already appeared on a Ferry Corsten mix CD plus releases on Anjunabeats and other top trance labels. However, eager to explore sounds outside of trance, Matthew has broken new ground in the progressive scene with massive remixes for Matt Rowan, Espen & Elusive, and 4Mal. On "Autumn Leaves," his new 4-track EP of original production, Matthew cements his reputation as a new force in progress

Nicolas Coronel & Juan Pablo Graziano - La Paz (Sep 21st, 2006)

Nicolás Coronel and Juan Pablo Graziano, based in Buenos Aires, are the latest standouts in the strong Argentinian progressive movement sparked by Hernán Cattaneo. "La Paz" flows like musical liquid, enveloping the listener in a rapturous fluidity. On the remix, Blue Room Project thickens up the potion, blending both breakbeat and house into a potent, intoxicating concotion.

Silent Brothers - The Alba EP (Aug 31st, 2006)

Russia has quickly become a hotbed for progressive, with artists like Siberian Son and Alex Stealthy paving the way. Continuing this Russian revolution are the Silent Brothers, with an emotional, ethereal troika that lifts listeners off their feet but never loses sight of the dancefloor.

Pablo Roma & Marcelo Vasami - Pushing Me Away (Jul 19th, 2006)

At Toes in the Sand, we like to mix things up every now and then, so our friends Pablo and Marcelo have put together a track that’s a bit harder, tougher, and nastier than our usual fare. But never fear -- Riko (who just released the lovely “Tokyo” on our label) comes through with a remix that nicely balances the tough stuff with the smooth lushness that you’ve come to expect from Toes. And don't miss the banging remix from South Records' Izak!

Alican & Soner - Manna (Jun 29th, 2006)

This Turkish duo has been turning heads in the progressive world with a flurry of amazing releases and remixes over the last year. "Manna" harkens back to the duo's deeper, melodic sound before their experimentation with electro-infused progressive. Michael Lanning, best known for his smash "Bound for Ascension" on Anthony Pappa's Balance 006 compilation, chills things out with a smooth remix perfect for early sets or greeting the sunrise.
