This release not knowing what to expect ends up quite groovy and refreshing to hear from a young female producer, it wouldn't have worked on any other label but Ascension.
The title track Up All Night is a true gem that may be tossed aside by some, but is really an intricate peaktime stormer with dark synths, and hallowing eerie vocals that reach the inside of your soul. Played on it's own or mixed vocals with other track bassline elements and you've got a real driving element to keep the floor rocking.
The other track Fallbeat is a nice chunky groover, but without any distinct driving or vocal element it may fall off the radar, but could easily work in a laid back atmosphere or as a solid mid set groover.
Overall a great release from young female producer, and a nice choice for Ascension records. We all look forward to seeing what's in store for Shara in the future!
