David Kassi - Paralyzed In Heaven (Ready Mix Records)
Next up on Ready mix records is Paralyzed in heaven from Greek Dj/producer Dimitrios Kasiaras aka David Kassi. Kassi has had releases on labels such as Helvetica, Behold records, NRG and Fibreline audio to name a few.

The Original mix has got a deep mood from the start, bringing together chunky and rolling beats that keep a steady pace while throbbing bassline and droning sounds make their way in. Things remain low slung as stabbing melodies begin to seep through, developing not in your face but gradually murmuring over the tough, driving groove. It’s a solid track and something playable mid set as a filler.

There’s a Deeper mix which starts instrumentally with soft, airy pads and chords but uses more subtle drums along with the originals bassline. Events take shape with the addition of dreamy spoken word samples and a work out of the melody in a similar structure but the effect is calmer.

Tying up this release is Big Al & Dr. Tang re-rub who concoct a peakier dose of action. The vibe is organic and warm but similar to what’s come before, deep, pensive and moody in places.

Nice work from Kassi who consistently puts out good tracks even if sometimes a little on the safe side.
