The first offering to us here at PH is CHRIS BARRATT - TEARDROPS a real crowd pleaser, an offering that puts pure dance passion back into these numbers.

The original feeds in with some simple beats then goes floating in real warm analogue introductory leads. When the main lead riff comes in it becomes reminiscent of some of those big and nasty 90's dancefloor groovers.

The next mix Richard Colman's Cat & Mouse has a more classic flavour to it, it packs in all the greatness from the original but adds its own groove and carries a more aggressive streak as well as some sweet progressive slowdowns. It builds nicely from start to finish and really capitalizing on its use of the main riff!

The final Jim Rivers Remix gets even edgier, and a bit more repetitive but only adding to the tension of an already dark collection of sound.

I'm liking this release pretty much from start to finish, though very different mixes the feeling is that most DJs of this genre could play either of these mixes in a set. A very sensible remix selection to an already interesting original.
