Sergio Rene - Love it Feel it (Synergy Recordings)
Sergio Rene’s latest release titled “love it – Feel it” released on March 13, 2008 on Synergy Recordings takes on a prog / electro / minimal house sound as you work through the tracks. Today (March 16, 2008) it reached #43 on ProgressiveHouse.com’s charts. Overall it’s a mediocre release that has some potential but needs that little extra oomph to set it off. The release has the original and a remix by Luigi Daniell (a Venezuelan top producer) who started his career in 1990.

Love it – Feel it (original) – a very structured and minimal intro leads into an electro / tech sound that leaves you wanting more. The song has everything it need, but is just missing that little “extra”. It does use a female vocal loop throughout the track that I think would have been better if it was longer and told more of a story (it would help and character to the release).

Love it – Feel it (Luigi Daniell Whisper mix) – Luigi Daniell shows his talent by taking a lacking original and making something of it. With chop vocals and good layering he proves this. Keeping a minimalistic / electro sound this remix would be best fitted towards the beginning of a set to help build the energy for your bigger tracks. Once again the vocal loop is used and leaves a lot to be desired, but the repeated vocal chops add great character to the track along with the FX and synth work in the break downs.
