Olaris have had some epic tunes of late and this next release is set to throw another bomb onto our dance floors! This is Funk Harmony Parks new offering named "Harpa V".
The original starts with some really expressive beats, the key slowly feeds in and in comes the melody. Its dark, it’s trippy, fiery and really drops beautifully into a pad chord pattern you might expect from these guys. Followed these guys for a while and still really like the way their brand of progressive seems to incorporate a real live sound to it. Further credit on the voice over as the production here is neat.
Royal Sapien Broken Up Remix comes in with a real soundtrack introduction here, some real deep emotion, as the beat kicks this still drifts in the same vain and better for it I say. If this doesn’t manage cross into major film then it would be a real shame, all the elements fused together here really warrants big things. Shame words can’t describe this one but in trying, very orchestral, very deep and meaningful and a beat that knocked it right into place.
Royal Sapien Late Night Remix a real art number, dreamy and floaty and as per title late night. Nice moments in this and could edge its way on a real nice drifting chilled compilation.
Shadow Freq Remix comes in on an all new groove, nasty old synth creates a nice backdrop, some nice electro quite sparse a brief little melody comes in and leaves, some careful construction gone into this as the sounds are placed in keeping an almost minimal electro vibe.
Leo Leal & Royal Dance Project Remix starts immediately drumming us into longing for what’s to come, some nice energy here has cuts from the original hitting in all new places. The build has a real sweep that will rev up the most subtle of dance floor movers; a great arpessio glides in to continue to take this tune to all new levels.
Jayos Chopped and Diced Remix again displays new motions on this original flavour, the mix is in no hurry and keeps you in relaxed musical state. As the bass comes in, clear indication to start moving, this begins to show you gated moments of the chords, this sort of has some early remix flavour about it, and it sails along in its boat of simplicity.
DJ Kira Tranceish Remix has a little more power to it, and the sound steps in like the biggest pair of shoes you have ever walked in. Definately the progressive path of trance, this has a big club sound, everything that I imagine club to be. The break down really breaks this one up before it comes back. In fact the whole scene on this track is quite different yet it cleverly does immediately have that Funk Harmony Park about it.
3rd Morning Dub, quite an ambience to this, the beat is straight and some of that live guitar flavour from the original carries forth with this mix.
It’s a big pack and I have usually been keen to criticize this sort of thing because of good tunes becoming lost, yet the mixes are from so many different angles here and most importantly stand well, that it would of been a shame to miss any one of them.
