“Audio Park” the first cd to come from Swordtail Records is a monster release at 10 exclusive unmixed tracks covering a variety of genres.
Yvel & Tristan – Unbreakable with echoing minimal sounds and a warn groove Unbreakable is a promising original with great layering potential.
D. Lectro – Natural Beats (Mannel & Kornel remix) an overall electro / prog feel with a building groove from the beginning leads into a catchy simplistic synth loop that makes you wanna dance. The track takes a left turn a little after half-way through; while keeping a hint of the catchy synth line it heads in a different direction before a strong popping finish.
Native – Shifting Landscapes rich, full, lush, and simplistic are the words that come to mind. Echoing melodies create an airy rich sound while a darker warping effect keeps your feet planted on the ground. The break is definately in the right place and adds a lot of character to the track.
Jerico – Spiritcatcher bouncing between sounds of electro and a deeper house feel Spiritcatcher uses a welcoming echoing piano stab and a voice chop to create a warm inviting sound that says come on let’s play. The fx’s create an open atmosphere while the melody makes you float away to your happy place.
SATeN – Just Another Memory with an even greater deeper house feel than Spiritchaser) has an overall warm welcoming sound with cascading rythms, fx, and a vocal loop. At times the vocals don’t seem to fit quite right but overall great song.
Sancho & E-Lation – Zuna bringing the funk Zuna delivers it with classic simplicity. Some snazzy horns and an electric guitar help deliver the full package. While experience fx work help to drive it home.
4Mal – Path is Clear kicking up a notch we have 4mal with a great dance floor track with an intriguing loop, heavy beat, and great fx Path is Clear is sure to get the floor moving. Some male vocals help build up the track, and by the time you are half way through you are ready to go. There is a great quote in the breakdown leading you back into more trance influence beats. Definately a mover!
Paul Kieran – Vapours flow with a driving techy sound, creating a groovelicious sound that makes you want to dance. Intense synth work and fx comprise the majority of the track with a few mellow minded surprises hidden within.
Jacco@Work – Zuzaten (custom made mix) tribal rhythms create the driving sounds of Zuzaten. A blending of a warming fem voc effect and a darker sounding synth create a unique palate of music and an overall great track.
Simon Firth – Reactive from mild to wild is the best way to describe this track….starts of mellow and by the end of it you are flying. Great track to create memories on! Starting off in sort of a dance floor lull, Reactive giving calm before the storm kind of feel with dreamy fx and echoing melodies. The longer the track plays the more intense it gets. Changing in break you get a dance floor hopping crowd pleaser that is sure to have people talking!
Overall great release covering a variety of genres. Definately worth having at your fingertips.
