Logiztik Sounds - Hangdown Hours EP (Proton Music)

Logiztik Sounds, out of Uruguay, drops this solid progressive four-tracker with remixes by Schoenbrunn & Pfennig, and Brisker & Magitman, brought to you by Proton.

Hangdown Sorrow brings it with its deep rolling prog arpeggios, pumping pads and creeping sweeps.

The Schoenbrunn & Pfennig version has a great sci-fi edge to it. They’ve added in some extra percussion and beefed up some of the sounds, providing a bit more energy without much deviation from the original.

Switched Hours bears more of an electro-flavored b-line, yet with a classic prog pattern, with a break-beat breakdown rather than the usual pad sweeping, airy trance type one.

The Brisker & Magitman Remix brings an even fatter saw b-line with ghostly ephemeral female voices echoing in the mix.

As expected, another solid release from Proton Music, these should fit into many a prog djs set. Great middle set type tunes, with room for layering on the originals.
