Mooka - Cat In a Strange Barn (featuring remixes by PB Vision, David Jones, Neuroxyde, X-Tence, more) (Starlight)
Release Date: October 3rd, 2008
Reviewed: 4.5/5
User Rating: 4.1/5

X-Tense Rmx -- High energy kicks and bass build into a pretty tranceish peak. Nice deep bass grooving with the mid pads and the automating high string melody. It gets really big in the high range synth pads and strings at the end, definitely a lot of energy behind this mix. Very peak hour and heavy on the top end layers.

Second Life Mix -- Deep brooding bassline gives is a warm feel, then the mid range melody works its way up into a very dynamic mix of stabbs synts and melodies. The mid range and melodies dont get too freaky or too fluffy. Very Coldharbourlike

Original -- Much more focus on the grimy deep bassline that really sets the pace for the song. Pretty pads and plucks fill the spectrum in the beginning of the track eventually making way for the bassline to take off into its own grimy progression that rides out for the rest of the song. Really nice change from the beginning of the track to the end.

Neuroxyde Rmx -- Taking the eerie Trentemoller approach this techy glitchy version fills the room with sub bass and intense yet subtle sirens and stabs. The synth pads rise from the bottom up and leave you on a high note.

House X-Treme Rmx -- Techy and bass driven, the melody and pads brighten up the track for a bit then it gets dark n dirty with an awesome bass synth hook right in the middle of the track. The pads come back slowly as the dirty bass smooths out into a darker outro.

Digital Art Rmx -- More of a smooth rolling house bassline here with just a little melody and strong delayed stabbs in the high range. You still get the dirty synth hook and a chopped up vocal chant. More focus on the bass and synth stabs rather than the big pads and melodies. The chant really finishes the mix.
