Leeks - Ninja EP (SK SUPREME RECORDS)
Kosovo’s SK Supreme Records seems to be doing well for themselves with five quality releases under their belt, and their latest, Leeks “Ninja EP” hitting number 1 on the ProgressiveHouse.com charts July 1st '08 and placing in the Beatport minimal top 20 at position 15.

Using crispy hi hats and a syncopated woodblock, Ninja (Original Mix) bumps along with a satisfying bounce from the delayed up kick drum, and with its bleeps and doinks in the right spots, plus excellent pacing and changes to keep it flowing, you’ve got a seriously poppin’ minimal tune.

On a very different tip, No light (Original Mix) is nice and progressive, featuring a slightly glitched beat under smooth arpeggiated synth work, building a hypnotic little melody, with sensible pads and sweeps to round it out.

Very sick stuff, great sound selection and jerky grooves. Another primo release for UK’s Leeks, this following on the heels of last month’s “Unexpected EP” on Kritical Noise Records and his excellent remix work on DJ Mankeletor’s electro house tune Kernel Panic.
