Kisk - Niut (Nuhar Records)
Release Date: July 25th, 2008
Reviewed: 3.5/5
User Rating: 3.5/5

The young and talented Giuseppe D'Alessandro a.k.a Kisk has finally appeared on Italian label Nuhar Records. In little more than a year, we’ve already witnessed Nuhar’s ability to deliver quality music. Kisk`s- Niut is definitely no exception. It is mainly intended for those DJs who want to spice up their sets with minimal sounds gathered in a tech-house/techno accent.

Original Mix features an unusual, but still quite promising melody, the only thing that follows it all the time is a deep bassline in the background. After an extended intro, a couple of other parts chime in and finally we have a true picture of the track around 1:30 minutes, marimbas and a delayed up kickdrum, not bad.

Paolo Driver & Roby J Remix, here a filtered kickdrum and a repetitive bassline are the two dominant elements until the drop, together with a noisy and noticeable hi-hat, this track is a real tech house groover. Especially when the reprogrammed bassline progresses into its mood and rises slowly with a bit of subdued snare in the back. Generally, the theme has a couple of ups and downs and it’ll definitely be a great piece for a warm up set.

Gennaro Mastrantonio’s Remix is without a doubt the pick of the litter, being the strongest and hardest remix of the release with its minimal techno style. The drums and bassline are so powerful that you might think they could destroy everything in their path. Still, they are well controlled; partly by the appearance of some darker sounds and the pick up moment of the track, the building snare roll. 100% Bigroom killer.

Comments from MyPromoPool.com:
"The Gennaro Mastrantonio remix had a real Auiojack kind of feel to it. I love the use of marimbas and the galloping sound of this track. The original track is much more laid back, but still solid." - 4.0 / 5
