RedLoft - Second Sunrise (featuring remixes by Royal Sapien, Santiago Deep) (Toes in the Sand)
Release Date: November 20th, 2008
Reviewed: 4/5
User Rating: 4.2/5

Toes in the Sand has been putting out quality progressive for a number of years now. Some of the early releases from Michael Lanning, Naveen G and Siberian Sun set the tone all the way back in 2004, a testament to the quality of their music and their obvious connection to it. This release comes from Mexican artist Redloft who’s been developing his name in progressive circles. His remix of Jacco@Work vs. Native, ”Two World Collide” definitely stood out for me. He presents in this release "Second Sunrise," with remix work by Royal Sapien and Santiago Deep, a line up definitely bodes well!

Second Sunrise (original mix) is well put together and has a melodic breaks flavour to it, very clean, melodic and classy. The melodies and sweeps are especially fitting when you consider the name of the track is Second Sunrise! Love it when artists do that!

The Royal Sapien remix is 4/4 based and more driving in its angle. This definitely could work on a dancefloor, radio mix or podcast, good work indeed.

The Santiago Deep remix is of quality too, with a menacing bassline and crisp drums. It’s nice to see him coming from Santiago, Chile too, as his name suggests. This mix can be filed under "progressive swirler" and is a really cool track indeed. A nice way to round off the package - bravo!
