Viza - Damage

Bellarine's hyperactive pre-Xmas activity continues here with this release from Viza. A two track EP is on show with tracks "Damage" and "Who's Here."

Damage starts brightly with a solid analogue bassline coupled with some nice bleeps and sweeps. Crisp production values are also on show, with the bassdrum compressed and providing a strong base for the track. It's a solid number, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Who's Here is helped by a good bassline holding the production together. It could be said that a good bassline is the glue that holds most tracks together. Flickering percussion is on show here as well to add to the effect of the solid bassdrum. Not an outstanding track, but again a solid one.

This release from Bellarine is solid enough, but perhaps a remix or two would have given each track a different angle. Despite that this is a release still worth checking out.
