With passion for music, rythm and life two young Italian guys, Elia Cantelli and Romano Zanni, have decided to increase their experience in a new way: on the 8th of November 2007 they started this project - Anunaki Records - driven by friendship and the wish to push the trance and dance movement in Italy with young, unknown, but seriously talented Artists. Elia is the Label Manager of this new creature and he is the Event Organizer, Promotion and Artists Management for italian scene. From a long experience as dj, he actually plays in two

Zonker the Brainless, alternately known as Tortusoid or Zonik, has no hair and an ear for really weird sounding tunes. Mixing since October 2006, Zonker's musical background consists of singing in a barbershop quartet and air-guitaring the bass part in Bela Fleck's Sinister Minister. Raised in Yellow Springs, Ohio, hippie oasis in a sea of rednec

Australia has been the spawning ground of talented producers over the past few years. Perhaps there's something in the drinking water, because Disoma Records (which is a division of Moonbeam) latest offering shows that the Aussie's are just getting better and better. This is "Uone & Pavel Khvaleev - Make Me Wet".

Make Me Wet (Original Mix)
gets thing started with a nicely tuned kick and a dark and dirty bassline that lays in the background far enough to make a statement, yet not overpower things. Percussion

Homes Art Music is back around this time with a very interesting EP by talented African artist, Sin Tek.

Karmacho Original version has a very inclined groove with a pluck, and an interesting freak-out type breakdown that could bring to the dancefloor a rather warped atmosphere.

The Julian Misher remix is a track with a mellower techno atmosphere and a precision line to follow in the groove.

The Jerome Montes remix is a valid alternative version aimed at those who prefer elect

A lot of time passed since "Silk Digital records" label got its first breath of life... Many things happened since then and the label keeps developing and growing as it becomes better-known and more respectable on progressive music scene. Our music tastes do not end with progressive house & breaks, we are happy to introduce Silk Digital's younger brother - "Silk Sofa music"! Here we represent the other side of quality electronic music: more calm, relaxing, chilling. Silk Sofa covers a wide area of genres: from chillout and downtempo to amb

Getting his start in the late 90’s, DJ Markitos began producing his first tracks, which were predominately trance and techno sounds. From there he has progressed into his own new sound, which he calls “a summer cocktail of Chill, House, Electronica, and Ambient.” Now going by the name of Solar Cycle this London producer has released a new album titled HOUSE SESSIONS which contains 10 chill/house tracks.

The only one that I'm reviewing is titled Along, which contains some sexy deep basses complimented by an i

Chicago-based imprint, Nightshade Music is making a name for itself by following a fairly simple business plan, which includes releasing only high quality music. Nightshade's ninth release, "Joel Armstrong - El Squelcho" adds to this up and coming label's great reputation for delivering high-end sounds.

"El Squelcho (Original Mix)" by Joel Armstrong is full of groove, and could arguably be the best version found in this monster pack. The original has an unrelenting groove, filled with finely tuned synths, an

As the best of both worlds collide, Remco Durez's new release (out August 5, 2008) on Timeshift Record, titled Modulor, brings a heavy and much needed trance influence to the boards. Echoing synths and bass lines full of solid goodness match up to create some great music and unique sounds.

Modulor – original Hits the ground running with a heavy rolling bass line and cascading synth that come together to unite house and trance as this original tears up the decks.

Upcoming London artist High Torque has been creating quite a stir since his first major release last October. Over the past 10 months, this phenom has touched all genre bases; including progressive, minimal, tech house, and electro pieces. He joins forces with Loopfreaks Black for his second release on the imprint, and returns to the progressive sound that started things off for him last year. This is "High Torque - Sparks".

Sparks (Original Mix) gets things started with elegant, yet haunting synth pa

Olaris is a label I look forward to each release on, their Soundtrack sound often dominates their releases and if this is why you follow then them you might wish to read on. Hot on the heels of their great work with "Funk Harmony Park," this time it’s no less then New York’s Royal Sapien, offering us his new three tracker, "Turning tricks." Royal Sapien has over the years been supported by DJs such as Digweed and Fortier as well as many other greats, plus he’s got a remix schedule longer then both my arms.

Italy’s Nuhar Records is back again with a new single entitled “Ok Samba” by Genoese Paolo Driver, whose busy summer already has his name appearing on at least a dozen releases on several different labels.

Ok Samba builds on a solid foundation of great humpy bass, swinging tech house percussion, and the occasional hand drum fill. The main feature here is the really cool use of tribal chanting and other human samples, bringing a fun and carefree vibe to this release. The result is a pleasant blend of organic and cur

With over 250 releases in just the past 3 years, Bit Records Mexico has consistently offered quality releases that have consistently found their ways into the crates of the world's biggest jocks. BRM's latest offering, "Gesiete - The Pledge EP" continues the tradition of quality that BRM strives to deliver.

Gesiete's original piece is a chunky electro thumper, that introduces itself with some nicely programmed buzzes and bleeps, typical for an electro track. The true character of The Pledge comes to the fore

Homes Art Music is back again with “Outter - Part 2,” as a great follow up remix pack to French producer, David Hopperman’s “Outter,” released last month.

Contrasting the original electro-tinged plucky prog driver, Ariel CurtisRemix has a smooth mellowness to it, and the occasional quirks in the lead arrangement are a superb touch, not unnoticed, as this was a well mentioned remix in the MyPromoPool™ reaction lot.

Bringing a little more energy to the pack, both Crazy Man and David Prap & Lilipr

If you love your progressive dark and powerful, you will want to get your paws on the "7 Chakras EP," by South American artist Audittive. Kansak Recordings delivers a fine package here, without a doubt.

The A-side track, 7 Chakras, is a beautifully put together minimal progressive piece, that will make for an excellent opening track. Opening up with a minimal chuggy beat, that's complimented by some light percussion elements. Things get moving with a dark bassline that drives the track. Early on, there is a one-bar break

Nervous Records is currently one of the longest standing record labels in the USA. We are probably one of the only labels left that still has the word “records” attached to its name. That’s how long we’ve been around. When Nervous started back in 1991, our focus was East Coast house music. There were a couple other hot NYC labels like Strictly Rhythm, Nugroove, Emotive and Maxi at the time. This was a great time for this genre, and the labels were thriving. When Ministry of Sound first opened in 1992, they had flags in the club celebrating a

Since 2004, Kosmas Epsilon has been one of the most consistent and innovative artists in the industry. So when he joined forces with Beto Rodriguez, Gabriel Sordo and Jorge Lopez, better known as Somnus Corp, a bit of musical magic took place. The end result was "Kosmas Epsilon & Somnus Corp- Buenos Tiempos," released on Groovecollection Black, a label synonymous with quality.

Buenos Tiempos (Original Mix) is easy to describe in one word: exquisite. This track is driven by

Andy Newland draws inspiration from his knowledge of being on the dance floor at some of the finest clubs in the early 90s. He fuses this with a passion for new music and the ability to connect with what the crowd needs throughout the night. It's all about taking them through a constantly morphing sound of deep grooves, percussive beats, heavy b
